If available air quality information is displayed automatically. Beyond display of the measured values, a general air quality information is displayed;

Information covers 959 cities in numerous countries.

Pollution 1.5 is now available from the App Store, update is free and automatic for all existing Pollution users. (Go to the Pollution page on the App Store).


Pollution for iPhone version 1.5 has entered Apple App Store’s validation process.

Pollution 1.2 for iPhone has just been submitted to Apple’s App Store for validation and should be available soon. Here is a sneak preview to the contents of this update.

Beyond fixing bugs, developments of Pollution version 1.2 mainly addressed improving the user experience as well as completing the pollutant emitting sources databases.

  • Addition of worldwide mobile phone base stations database (Displayed information is based on the OpenCellID project)
  • User experience hugely improved thanks to new mapping library

Update is free for existing users.


It seems that the Pollution application was not submitted in the most appropriate category. We’ve moved it into the “Navigation” category.

Without fully suitable category, this category has been prefered to the “Reference” category. This change does not affect the App Store URL of the application.
